We are about to start hosting events again! These will be done safely, via Zoom. Please see below.
Throughout the year we have a regular programme of events in the shop and other venues in Ilkley.
These include author signings, readings, afternoon teas and quizzes, with authors of local and national renown. Readings and book launches are usually on Thursday evenings, and tickets can be obtained from the shop.
Thurs 22nd October - 7.30pm
An Ice Age cannibal's skull cup, a hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold, a seventeenth century witch bottle... anthropologist Mary-Ann Ochota unearths more than 70 of Britain's most intriguing ancient places and artefacts and explores the mysteries behind them. Britain is full of ancient wonders, small, strange places and objects that hint at a deep and enduring relationship with the mystic. Join Mary-Ann via Zoom for this fascinating event (email essential).

Wednesday 4th November - 7pm
Sussi will be with us (via Zoom) to launch her first collection of poetry. Beautiful, lyrical, mournful. "Sussi Louise Smith hands you a mirror and makes you travel into your own soul, because she is not just a poetess or a child of the sea. She is a witch, who packed sunsets, silence ... waves and immortality into a bottle ... for you to take a sip." Johanna Gustawsson
